Why we're raising money
Our current project is to refurbish our practice net facilities by relaying the 3 lanes which have become worn after 13 years of use after they were installed in early 2011. The total cost of the project is £18,000. We have sourced a grant for £1,500 and are waiting on another grant for £10,000 towards the costs which we are hopeful of achieving.
In memory of one of our long standing members Gobind Bhavnani who sadly passed away at the end of 2023 his family asked for donations to go towards this project.
Gobind had a long association with the club during which his championing of young players and their opportunities was a marked passion. This project fits that brief perfectly in providing practice facilities for the next generation to learn and hone their skills. This has raised £500 already separately and we hope to add to that in this fundraising effort in his memory over the course of the year.
This therefore leaves a balance of £6,000 which we are now aiming to raise over the course of this summer through this page.
